neurology is complicated

Many people go through all of their medical training without getting enough (or ANY!) exposure to clinical neurology

This leads to NEUROPHOBIA

WHAT IS NEUROPHOBIA?

Neurophobia is defined “as a fear of the neural sciences and clinical neurology”

Why is this important?

Approximately 60% of the population has a neurologic condition

That’s nearly 200 million people in America!

If you are taking care of patients you WILL see someone with a neurologic condition.

Well, that’s no problem, I’ll just refer them to a neurologist, right?

In a perfect world, yes, absolutely!

BUT there is a nationwide shortage of neurologists and you may be waiting for that referral longer than you would like
